In order to define the problems resulting from the births of large infants, the medical records of Sang? Paik Hospital, Inje University were reviewed from Jan. 1,1990 to Dec. 31, 1992.Of 10,050 deliveries, 650 infants(47%) were weighing

Clinical diabetes was present in 2.12%, and pregnancy induced hypertension in 6.81%. There were two fetal deaths. The major maternal complication was episiotomy extension, and fetal complication was shoulder dystoica.
